The 90-year-old icon will be launched into space, and he’ll be taking none other than Jeff Bezos’ sweet ride, The New Shepard, as his means of transportation.

Shatner will ride aboard the rocket ship made by Bezos’ space company Blue Origin, where he will make history as the oldest person ever to travel to space.

“Ever since I was five years old, I’ve dreamed of traveling to space,” the billionaire said on Instagram back in June when he announced the news of his first flight. “On July 20th, I will take that journey with my brother. The greatest adventure, with my best friend.”

“To see the earth from space, it changes you,” he said at the time. “It changes your relationship with this planet, with humanity.”

Bezos and his crew — which included his brother Mark Bezos, test pilot Wally Funk and recent high school graduate Oliver Daemen — reached an altitude of 66.5 miles during their journey.

Daemen’s father won the ticket for his son at an auction, where he reportedly paid $20 million dollars for his son’s seat on the ship’s first ever flight, and the money was donated to Blue Origin’s Club for the Future foundation.

It is unclear whether or not Shatner will be comped or if he will have to pay a price for his ticket.
